2009 Jazz Event a Huge Success!

Building on the momentum of past events, the 4th Annual Night of Hot Jazz and Cool Art did not disappoint!  Hundreds of guests enjoyed an evening of great music, delicious food, and overall fun.  Reviving Ivory, a local musical group, warmed up the crowd.  Evening co-hosts Jennifer Johnson of News10 NBC and Board member Reverend J. Claud Stewart led the evening’s festivities, including the presentation of annual Community Awards.

Once again, we were thrilled to feature the music of extremely talented performers including Wycliffe Gordon and Jimmie Highsmith, Jr.  Bidding was lively in our silent auction, which was graciously hosted by Darienne Lake.  As in past years, the auction showcased photography, pottery, paintings, woodworking, and a variety of other pieces donated by local artists, along with gift baskets donated by local businesses.

The evening was a huge success!  Our sincere thanks to MVP Health Care, our presenting sponsor, and our other corporate sponsors, in-kind donors, well wishers, volunteers, guests, and all who helped to make the evening a success!
