PDF Workshop Catalog (PDF 5.43 Mb)

The Advocacy Center announces the opening of The Center for Community Education, a provider of educational workshops on disability-related issues.  A catalog of over fifty workshops is now available;  see the attached PDF above.

Workshops are designed for groups who want to increase their effectiveness working with people who have disabilities. Topics include advocacy, effective communication, behavioral supports, disability awareness, special education, person-centered planning, and financial issues. Experienced presenters from The Advocacy Center will provide the training on-site for local organizations and schools. There is a fee for most workshops, but individuals with disabilities and family members can attend many of the workshops for free.

“The feedback we have received from customers is outstanding,” comments Paul Shew, Executive Director of The Advocacy Center. “They appreciate the high quality, the hands-on approach, and the fact that we tailor each workshop for each individual audience.”
